I went ahead and did a bunch of appliques at once. Some of them had missing peices at the time such as wheels and faces, but you get the idea. I even dyed my own shirts. I just bought a multi-pack of shirts and bought fabric dye (green, navy, and brown). I dyed them in the washer, very easy to do, and cheap!

Do you stitch around the edges on these? I don't remember you saying that in your last post and wondered how they held up after being washed & dried. I've thought about making these lots of times, but my sewing machine and I are NOT friends!
I'll use Fray Check on the detailed ones, and sew around the basic ones. I've also heard of people using clear nail polish.
